Hi All,

Is there any reason why the menu item text in the URL popup menu is so spaced out in FF 115 and 125?

It's the only menu I've found like that.

See attached screenshots. The one on the left is FF 115, and the one on the right is FF 88 (more normal).

Is there a way to fix this?

And also remove that "Add" menu item at the bottom?

I am now using Outlook (imap). When I try to permanently delete a bunch of emails it deletes them and then I get a synchronizing inbox bar and the 1,000 or so emails come right back into my inbox. How do I avoid this if I am using Thunderbird?

Example: Have 9600 emails delete 2500 and notifies me that they will be permanently deleted but they never are. They just return a few minutes later. Thanks

Somehow, the "auto-BCC" feature in one of my Thunderbird accounts has been activated. How can I disable that? When I open an email now (in my 'in-box'), it automatically fills in "To" and "From" fields. I no longer get my 'in-message' toolbar in the upper right-hand corner of the message window (tab). I also no longer get the notification that "Thunderbird has blocked remote content..." How can I restore this without deleting and rebuilding the account? I'm sure this was mistakenly activated but it needs to go away!!!

On a further note, I have found that if I move a message from my in-box to ANY other folder, I get the normal message view, with all the correct toolbars and indications and controls! Attached are the correct and incorrect screenshot of the same message, just in different folders.

Hi All,

I would like to change the url border color when it has the focus to blue.

The code below works, except when you press Escape.

After hitting Escape, the urlbar still has the focus but its border changes back to gray. It should remain blue.

I would also like to remove the box-shadow after pressing Escape, when the urlbar is not expanded (to mimic the behavior of FF 88).

The url and search input fields also do the same goofy thing Windows 10 does - the cursor stops blinking after 5 blinks and remains frozen. Any way to remove that behavior and keep the cursor blinking? If not, no big deal, the other stuff above is more important.

Any code suggestions to get that behavior are welcome!

115.05 when I started.

I typically open Thunderbird about once a month, download my emails from a hosted website, do some clean up, write some emails, close Thunderbird, and do the same about a month later.

Today I opened Thunderbird, saw that it was downloading around 400 emails, and waited patiently, as per usual. When done, however, none of them showed up in the main window. The latest email did not change, was from around a month ago. When I ask Thunderbird to Get Messages it says there are no new emails to download.

Also, I had previously opened emails in the top bar from the last time I had opened Thunderbird, but they were blank, no title and no content. (See screenshot #2)

I restarted Thunderbird several times, no change.

I then upgraded to 115.10, hoping this might fix the issue, but it has not.

Since restarting Thunderbird, 2 new emails have come in and are showing correctly, but none of the initial 400 emails downloaded today are showing anywhere. (See attached screenshot #1)

I repaired the Inbox folder, no help. I renamed the "Inbox.msf" file and had Thunderbird rebuild it, no help. I renamed the "global-messages-db.sqlite" file and had Thunderbird rebuild it, no help.

All of the initial batch of 400 emails - and the emails I had previously opened - just disappeared.

Does anyone have any idea what to do here?

I've always had my firefox checkmark the "Always ask you where to save files" box. I started to download a file from Envato elements, and firefox asked me where I wanted to put it, so I pointed it to a dropbox folder on my finder level (I'm on a Mac computer). Some pop up showed up that said it didnt like the directory so I hit ok. Then I tried to download again to another location but now firefox won't ask me where i want to download the file to. And instead it just populates a file in the downloads folder called "7gp69ST8.mp4.part" or something similar. If I uncheck "Always ask you where to save files", the whole file downloads just fine to the downloads folder but I dont want that setting, I want the check mark ON so that it asks me each time where to save the file to. But its not asking me any more. So I hit quit on firefox and came back in and the issue persisted. I cleared the cookies and the issue persisted. Please help me fix this.

you dont need a screenshot. its reral simple i am tired of nothing working right. i have added multiple wallets on my phantom app but it doesnt show up on my phantom wallet on my laptop. i have been hitting check for updates for 2 hours. why wont it update. and if i have to put in a 24 word secret phrase evertime i want to update my extension. then good bye firefox. then why have a check fofr updates button.

I used Firefox Developer Edition and yesterday saw that a new extension released for using Chrome web api to search and duckduckgo as one and had to test it "DuckDuck Chrome"... I have since had keneral level drivers registered, IP addres ls directly connecting, every one of my files scanned and index and still I'm getting logs for connections from the same IP's that were using kernal calls to bypass me seeing whats going on... at one point they did a lernal call and changed the requested package power.

There were enough things ran from 5am pst today till 4pm pst today I have exporting the log file for multiple hours and it only has a tray icon telling me it's still creating it as the context was to large to be seen or queried in the Event Viewer itself (error 1734).

I keep several email tabs open that have topics I am currently working on with clients. Recently they have been turning blank, so I have no idea what they are--I feel I have lost info that I need to do business. Why do they turn blank? I need this fixed ASAP!

Reaching my end with defects in thunderbird. I select items in the inbox/index of the UI and it isn't updating the email view pane.

Sometimes I select in the index, it highlights the message, doesn't update and then 10-15 seconds later, the UI does a big update like it had hung on something, and it just ignores my selection completely and selects whatever it wants. This is crazy.

I'll add I have a "unified folder" and despite the 3 accounts inboxes included from accounts configured to never auto update, IT ALWAYS does updates whenever it wishes. Again, this is crazy. Like it can't be supposed to work like this ?

So: Is this thing single threaded ? Is the "unified" folder functionality mature and does it work properly ? Suggestions or pointers to fix or research/test what I see is just flat out poor performance when clicking stuff in the UI ?

I really can't believe I'm questioning the basics of thunderbird.

Version is Win 10, 115.8.1 (64-bit), udpating now but I'd say I have found the basic performance to have tanked since the bug UI change to "modernize" it. Seems to me, without exact data to support that I have been degrading ever since. No updates I've made in last few months have improved anything.

Really don't want to leave but I'm about to try using it on Mac and Linux to compare and at same time I just configured all this in apple mail for the first time in maybe 10 years. This is something I never ever thought I'd do.

Last thought, I use same accounts, on iPhone (Boxer) and many iPads. I don't see any performance problems there so I'm pretty confident this isn't the mail servers.

I just lost several hundred tabs on Firefox mobile right after it updated itself. The most recent tabs show only ten of those tabs, which were all opened and closed today and aren't part of what I need to restore.

How do I get my tabs back? I've seen no 'restore previous session' option. My laptop only shows the few I have open now. What do I do to restore them?

I belong to a number of newsgroups where I save technical data from that is in the form of email. 1. How can I save messages, with header intact, to a text file as I could with Eudora? 2. When I start Thunderbird, what email is loaded into memory?

Start Thunderbird, go to Drafts folder, open email, click Send, get Send Message Error (see error.jpg) in about two seconds.

There is no request for password, I do not save any passwords. When I Get Messages, a password is requested and I receive the messages. If I try to send after getting messages, same error.

Thunderbird settings are as Earthlink specifies for POP3:

See smtp.jpg. Earthlink user support said to use "Authentication method: Encrypted password". Have also tried "Authentication method: Normal password", got similar error message.

The last time I successfully sent a message was a year ago, this is the first time trying to send since then. There have been OS and Thunderbird updates in between, probably some Earthlink changes too.

I am trying to add a secondary Comcast email account to T-Bird. The primary account was added OK. This is a sub account of the top one.

Note, I have 2 other computers and I was able to add this sub account easily, but that was some years ago.

When I go through the motions of adding my email address and password, when I click "Done" a window pops up with the massage "Secure Connection Failed" The error code is PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR.

When setting up the primary account, the little window asked me my password then asked if it was OK for T-Bird to access the account. This was as normal like all the Gmail ones I did.

But it seems this sub account cannot be added.

Any Ideas?

I'm using Focus on iOS. I have recently changed the password for a frequently used site, but Focus always cues me with the obsolete password. I can go into Lockwise and get the right one, but is there some way to clear this cached old password? I use Firefox and have it synced between iOS and Windows versions. It does not have this issue because the Firefox menu has a clear site data etc. option. How can I do this for Focus? Thanks.
